The End Is Near...
I know...you're thinking it too...what in the world is going on? It always seems stereotypical for the preachers and religious zealots to proclaim the end is here. Well, I'm not quite suggesting it is HERE...I am saying it's NEAR. No matter whether you're a dispensation premillenialist, pretribulationist or an amillenialist, we all agree on something. Someday, however it happens, Christ is coming again to judge the living and the dead. Well my friends, I say the end is near.
After the recent events in Japan, I believe that what I've been saying for a while now is reality. The events that happen in the world; wars, famines, earthquakes, tsunami's, tornadoes, hurricanes, blizzards, temperatures, weather extremes, all of that stuff will get worse until Christ comes again. Yeah, there have been death tolls higher in the past...but the quakes weren't this strong. New Orleans was devastated by Katrina by a category 3...not the strongest, but hey, look at the aftermath. They're still recovering. Japan will need the same kind of help for years to come. Some towns will never surface again. May we be strong enough to provide the encouragement and supplies they need.
These events will continue to get more and more devastating. What is going on now will be worse than ever next year...in one fashion or another. We, especially here in America, believe that we are invincible...need I remind you of Pearl Harbor, 9/11, or Hurricane Katrina? Yeah, we are vulnerable too.
So now what I have to offer is simple. Where are you in your relationship with God the Father? What about with Jesus? Have you accepted him yet? Do you know him on an intimate level? Do you know the Good News? If not, let me share it. God knows you, God loves you and he, yes HE the creator of Heaven and Earth wants a relationship with YOU through his Son Jesus. Now is the time, more than ever. Accept him...repent of your sin, confess him as Lord and be baptized. Do not let another day pass by without making the most important choice of all. Because by not making a choice, you've made a choice.
Where are you going to spend eternity? With God? Or will you spend eternity in the eternal torture of Hell? Please, I beg you...do not hesitate. Do not be scared to make the decision...do not make the decision out of fear. Make the decision because Jesus loves you...because he died on the cross for your sins...he took the punishment we deserve. And through it all, he was raised on the third day to life!! Ascended into heaven, where he sits at the Right hand of the Father...do it because HE loved you first. Don't hesitate. Act now. We never know what tomorrow will bring. Unfortunately, some Japanese will not get a second chance. On the other hand, there are those who did know Christ and are rejoicing with him now.
My friends, the End of Times are near. Accept Jesus, Repent, Confess, Be Baptized. I beg you, don't wait. Call on the name of the Lord and Savior of all, Jesus Christ and allow him into your life. It's a decision that will change your life, guaranteed. It did me. May God Bless you and keep you, make his face to shine upon you and grant you peace, this day and forever more. Amen.
